Dawg Flight at Franks ‘n’ Dawgs

I thought it was strange when my yoga friend, Suzanne Ko, suggested we meet up for hot dogs on our first lunch date.  Little did I know, this is not ordinary hot dog place.  The sign on the door of Franks ‘n’ Dawgs says it’s 5 star dining on a bun and… it was.  Owner, Alexander Brunacci hooked us up with a Dawg Flight consisting of the Double Ducker, Pig Latin and Lamb Keema.  I think the Pig Latin was my favorite.

And just as we were finishing up our Dawg Flight with truffle fries (yum!), the 2 chefs competing in the monthly Dawg Flight, came in to check out the competition.  Chefs Michael Fiorello of Mercat de la Panxa, and Jared Van Camp of Old Town Social tried the dawgs for themselves and here’s what happened…
