Go green with a pedicab ride in Chicago

Cities like Austin, TX have long embraced the dexterity, efficiency and “greenness” of a human powered form of transport called the pedicab, rickshaw or bike taxi. Of course with the winters in Chicago, pedicabs don’t make sense year-round, but now that spring is on it’s way (it IS on its way, isn’t it?), I expect to see many more of these pedaled forms of transportation in downtown Chicago. And, I for one, welcome them.

When the weather is nice in Chicago, you gotta soak it all in. Pedicabs are an earth-friendly way to help you do just that.

  1. I tried to take from soldier field once and I was quoted $40 to get out of the soldier field area and then $20 to START my destination.

That’s crazy!!!!! They need to be more user friendly if they want people to use them.

  2. JenChicago says:

Wow- $40 is super steep! I thought they worked on tips… Sorry you had a bad experience- the concept is still fun though, right? :)
