BB King intros and with the help of his daughter Shirley, who sings at The Joynt on Wednesdays.  It was Earth Day last week and I celebrated with Go Green Management, Bull and Bear and so many others.  Save the earth- it’s cool and it’s cool!  Aniko Salon and Spa hosted an amazing GLAM event and VFish was there with beautiful dresses.  My Sunday brunch shop, Yolk is in the current edition of Dining Out Magazine… mmmm.

Starting Friday at 6, The Joynt will host two parties.  One by Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue followed by Cinco de Mayo at 9.  You gotta love the JibJab cucaracha!  Fiesta de Mayo will start at 9 with music, pinata, face painting, open bar, food and more!

Kite festival this weekend and Robinson’s #1 Ribs will be there too.  Not flying, of course.  Chicago Art Open is… um… open.  Justin Beiber joins forces with Luda… nice.  In Chicago sports… the Blackhawks and Bulls are in the playoffs just in time for tulips on Michigan Avenue.  And I bet Ty Pennington would like my Spanish.  !Arriba!

Last Saturday and Sunday the City of Chicago, once again, put on it’s yearly Air and Water Show… And once again, I was amazed, impressed and happily proud to be an American. Though Sunday turned out to be freckled with rainstorms, the show continued, and we were generously rewarded for being such “troopers” in waiting out the rain.  We we all given just one more reason to love… Sweet Home Chicago!
