THURS:
You can kick things off on Thursday with a visit to your local Farmers Market- like the one in Daley Plaza on Thursdays from 7-3.

Chicago Tribune’s Chicago Live and WGN Radio at the gorgeous Chicago Theater. The show also features Second City and celebrity guests.

FRIDAY
On Friday- the Chicago Blues Festival kicks off in Millennium Park and lasts through Sunday.  It’s FREE!

SATURDAY
On Saturday, you can be part of the Chicago Naked Bike Ride celebrating freedom from oil, and the beauty of people.

Sunday is my birthday and I plan to ring it in on the dance floor at The Joynt!  Say “JenChicago” for no cover AND a Jen-tini if you mention my birthday at the door.

Last week, Colonel Tribune of the Chicago Tribune hosted a “tweet-up”.

What’s a “tweet-up”, you ask?

Well, a “tweet-up” is when a bunch of people from Twitter get together to… uh… hang.

What’s “Twitter”, you ask?

Twitter is micro-blogging for grown ups (so far). You get 140 characters to say what you want to say and/or post related links. It’s all the rage with the social media kids. If you wanna know more, sign up and start “following” cool people. You can hear what cute thing someone’s dog just did or get a link on the latest social media software out there.

So the Colonel set up this “Tweet-up” at Clark’s Ale House, but I never got to meet him.

Oh, those masked men! Their mystery is both infuriating and enthralling!
