- Chicago Parks District: The Chicago Park’s District’s re-designed website crashed on Tuesday when people flooded the site, trying to register for upcoming programs. Searches on Yahoo! by Chicagoans for “Chicago Parks District” are up 293% this week. Of the searches for “Chicago Park’s District” this week on Yahoo! by people across the country, 43% are coming from people ages 35-44.
- Shedd Aquarium: According to a post by the Chicago Tribune, the Shedd Aquarium had the best year in a decade — 2.1 million visitors, and interest in “Chicago’s most attended cultural attraction” continues with online searches. Yahoo! searches by Chicagoans this week for “Shedd Aquarium” are up 590%. Of the searches this month on Yahoo! for the “Shedd Aquarium,” 59% come from women.
- Chicago Restaurant Week: Chicago Restaurant Week 2012 began on Feb. 17 and wraps up on Sunday, Feb. 26, and people across the country are buzzing over all of the great dining options. Searches on Yahoo! this week for “Chicago Restaurant Week 2012″ are up 675%, with 67% of searches coming from women. The top states searching for “Chicago Restaurant Week 2012″ include: Illinois, Virginia, and California.
